Excited to be starting a new printing project with the Gypsy, Romany and Traveller (GRT) community in Cardiff, working with children after school on one of the sites.
The Romani Cultural and Arts Company, is a brilliant charity that works through the arts for advocacy and empowerment amongst the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. It is really proactive in creating links and providing education and information for many organizations and community groups, including local governments, leading on advocacy, influencing the policy and strategy agendas in the context of a devolved Welsh Government and increasingly internationally across the UK.
It also works to overcome the ignorance and mythology relating to Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people living in Wales, and to promote a greater sense of self-worth among members of a community who have largely internalised the racism that they experience.
