In the current circumstances, I am more grateful than ever to have a space to go to to be creative. I thought I would share with you some beach finds I picked up on Rhossili beach, before the lockdown. Some of them are enough in themselves – perfect examples of wabi-sabi art, like this block of wood with three rusty nails. Other pieces ask for me to enter into a dialogue with them, like the chair back below. I have placed it in contact with some of my asemic writing strips to see what feeling this evokes.
There are no rights or wrongs. There is time to experiment. There is time to play.
“Art has always been the raft onto which we climb to save our sanity. I don’t see a different purpose for it now.” ~ Dorothea Tanning
