Here it is! The Weaving Tree created by Flow Maugran is finished. Flow has been working on the tree since February, and it is an amazing achievement. In collaboration with the technicians from Wales Millennium Centre, it is now secured centre stage in one of the central theatres at WMC. Art and craft works created in some of the workshops we have been delivering in the foyer, plus other artist contributions have been attached in some of the spaces. Artwork for the exhibition has been sent from all parts of Wales – from Pembrokeshire to Newport, Builth Wells to Caernarfon, by artists aged 4 to 90 years old. The pieces include paintings, spoken word recordings, digital art, photography, installation, mixed media and film. The doors will open on 21st July, and there will be more workshops in August.
